Weapon DPS / cost calculator

Compare burst damage with sustained damage after magazine, reload and multi-target behavior.

Current answerSustained DPS = damage × magazine × targets ÷ (magazine ÷ fire rate + reload time). DPS per cost divides that result by purchase price.

Burst DPS vs sustained DPS

Burst DPS ignores reload and is useful for a very short contact window. Sustained DPS spreads magazine damage across firing and reload time. A weapon can win burst damage and still lose a long wave.

Limits

  • Assumes constant fire rate and damage. The 10-second value is sustained DPS × 10, not an exact fresh-magazine firing timeline.
  • Treats average targets hit as a multiplier; armor, misses and overkill are outside the formula.
  • Does not predict hidden game caps or targeting delays.
